This past weekend I made the drive up to Portland, Maine as I am getting ready to move to the Yarmouth area in just 2 weeks! My Mom drove down to meet me and we spent the day on Saturday measuring my new apartment for furniture, and my personal favorite- shopping in Freeport! ( I mean have you SEEN the new Fall line that LLBean Signature has out??! To. Die. For.)

Thankfully we had the most incredible weather all weekend, and Sunday’s portrait sessions could not have been more amazing. First I met Ariana and her beautiful 6 week baby boy for a portrait session at sunrise! Never is getting up at 3:30am on my love list, but the gorgeous light and the empty beach in Cape Elizabeth was so worth it! She was a rockstar, and her baby slept in her arms for the whole session! I think it was the combination of mama snuggle and the crashing ocean waves that did him in. 🙂

I then returned to Cape Elizabeth at the Portland Headlight in Fort Williams Park for a maternity portrait session with Anne who is expecting TWINS!! She could not have looked more gorgeous and the LIGHT we had on the rocky coast last night was absolute perfection- if I could bottle it up and bring it with me everywhere I would! Although I am grateful travel all over the country for clients and photograph collections in many different places, I am excited with the anticipation that coastlines like these will be a regular location for my local shoots!
