A couple weeks ago, I had the huge honor of photographing this in-home maternity session for my dear friends Anne and Justin! I met Anne four years ago this Spring. As a family photographer herself, she hired me to photograph headshots for her brand and business. We met on a Connecticut beach that held great meaning to her, and little did I know that she has been a loyal follower of my work for years. Since then, I have seen her business grow so much- and her photography just keeps getting more beautiful every time I see it!
We have become great friends, and the timing for this session could not have worked out more perfectly. Anne is our logistics coordinator extraordinaire for The Fount Workshop, and since her husband is originally from Pittsburgh, it just so happened to work out where she would be in the area during a great timing for maternity portraits right after our workshop! We were so thankful that her Pittsburgh family opened their home to us and that’s where we did the session. It was quiet and special, and yet one of the most fun sessions I have ever done. Not only was it so sweet to create portraits of the two of them waiting on their first baby, but photographing for a photographer is always an honor. I am so excited to share just a few of my favorite portraits from their at home session, all created with black and white medium format film. Enjoy!
