I can hardly believe that it’s already time to create this blog post with a look at all of 2017!! What an incredible year- that has simply flown by!!

I have had the honor of photographing this year in coastal Maine, Connecticut, Boston MA, Vermont, New York, San Diego, Baton Rouge, Allentown PA, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Atlanta GA, Richmond VA, and more!

I am finishing up the year here in Portland Maine and will be moving to Pittsburgh PA at the start of the year! I am getting ready to launch my brand new online course for photographers called “Finding Your Focus“, and deep in the planning of our upcoming Fount Workshop in April!

I can already see in so many ways how 2018 is truly going to be the best year yet- but I can’t move ahead without first to stop and remember such an amazing year with such a grateful heart. I photographed the most amazing families these past 12 months. I had the honor of documenting mothers holding babies they weren’t sure if they would ever have in their arms for the wait was long. I photographed newborn twins, and exciting sibling additions. I photographed on islands and beaches, in beautiful homes and even the mountains. I met brand new families and had the honor of photographing some of the same as in years past. This is truly the most incredible job.

While there are days of endless tasks and things to learn in running a business that sometimes seem larger than life- it is putting together blog posts like these ones that remind me once again just how much I love it and how it is truly worth all the work it takes behind the scenes.

So here’s to 2017- may it be the smallest my business ever was as each year just gets better and better.
