This past weekend I had the exciting adventure of spending the long weekend in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! I stayed with a friend’s family who were both the most graciously kind hosts- taking us all over the city to tour the fun things to do there. They drove us up the steepest street, drove through the gorgeous homes of Shadyside and the Carnegie Melon neighborhoods,walked us through the little shops of the Strip district, brought us to a street made entirely of cork, up the incline of Mt Washington, and to countless delicious places to eat. (Primanti Brothers is on my list for when I return!)

My sweet friend Magalis is expecting her first baby, and before her baby shower we were able to create stunning maternity portraits to celebrate! I’ve known Magalis since college, and style and fashion are two things she is always on point with. (On fleek? On point? I can’t keep up with the cool kids these days!) So when the first suggestion of her session location was a local park, I just couldn’t see it fitting her personality. Luckily, after some digging and social media searching, we were able to find this amazing industrial style, downtown Pittsburgh studio to rent, and it was the perfect fit for the vision of this shoot.
