Oh sweet friends. I could not be more excited to share this Newborn Connection Portrait session with you today. What a fantastic way to start the new year here on the blog! This session is a top favorite, and you are about to see why!
Almost a year ago, I had a dream that I photographed my good friend Karen Stott and her family. It was a very vivid dream, which I found odd since I had never met her children. An unexpected week of time off soon resulted in my first trip to Oregon, and long story short I had the honor of photographing her family. Little did I know, that God’s perfect timing was at work in more ways than one.
As soon as Karen shared with me that her and Isaac were expecting, I jokingly called “dibs” on her maternity and newborn pictures, knowing full well that the probability of getting back to the West Coast in the same year was most likely not an option for me. It’s laughable really, how perfect everything worked out, right down to the opportunity to photograph her maternity portraits at the Pursuit 31 conference in Georgia.
It is always an honor to photograph to a family welcoming a new bundle of joy to their home. It is an even a greater honor to photograph another photographer. But what I count the greatest honor of all, is to photograph close friends.
Here are a few (Ok, here are a lot!) of my favorites from their Newborn Portrait Collection.
