A few weeks ago I had the honor of photographing one of my favorite families in the Conservatory Gardens, near Central Park in New York City. Time flies by so quickly- as it seems that I was just yesterday taking the train in for their in-home newborn session (you can see that here!) Now little Julian is already a year old and he was SO happy for our sunset session in the park!

I have had the incredible joy of knowing  CJ for years now. Being a photographer herself, I have worked with her from in person mentoring and watching her grow her business, she’s been a loyal attendee of The Fount Collective Workshop I host for motherhood photographers, I’ve photographed business headshots for her- and I can remember her talking to me about “someday” having the excitement of a newborn session. Her story of motherhood is so special, and so beautiful- and what a privilege it was to document their little of family of three near their home in Manhattan.

CJ is a also film photographer, which is always so fun to work together on- as she truly appreciated and adored the medium of black and white film photography. Here are just a few of my favorites from our session together- shot on a mix of film and digital.
