One of the most amazing parts of my job as a maternity and newborn photographer (in addition to those super soft and squishy baby snuggles) is often getting to work with parents both before and after their baby has arrived. For years now, the most popular package that I have is my Motherhood Collective- which gives the families that I work with the opportunity to book their choice of two or three sessions with me over the course of that first year- and most often families choose to book their maternity and newborn session with this.

It is so fun to be able to talk about what they think their baby will be like when I photograph them in their season of expecting. Sometimes they know if the baby will be a boy or a girl- something a name is already chosen- and other times everything is held as a complete surprise. When I arrive at their home for their newborn session in the short month or two to follow- everyone is at ease because we have already worked together!

I got to work with this incredible couple this past summer and fall and some of my top favorite portraits I have ever taken were during their sessions. I wanted to share just a few with you here today- each photographed on medium format black and white film.
