Maybe it was knowing she grew up as a little girl on this beach. Maybe it was being told the story of how she married her husband standing on this very sand, or how her entire face would light up whenever she glanced in his direction throughout our session. Maybe it was understanding how truly meaningful these portraits were to her, and to them, celebrating a season that was so long awaited. Oh tiny baby- you are already so very adored.

This was such a beautiful maternity session on Humarock Beach on the South Shore of Massachusetts, and so full of meaning for these two. I am already looking forward to their in-home newborn session in just a few weeks! I photographed their portraits using a combination of digital photography and medium format black and white film- here are just a couple of my favorites!
