Last week I made the drive from my home in Maine to Middletown Connecticut. I not only had several portrait sessions scheduled in the Southern Connecticut area, but my best friend was due to have her first baby, and I was praying I wouldn’t miss it. It was a whirlwind of a birth experience, and a long story, but this little guy was born the morning after I arrived, which I could not be more grateful for.

Watching my best friend be a mother for the first time this week has been one of the most incredible, inspiring, rewarding experiences of my entire life. I am going to miss him SO much when I have to go home after this weekend! 

This morning I photographed their in-home newborn session, and I can’t wait to get the black & white film scans back! Here are just a couple of my favorites to share while we wait!
