The sweetest of black & white film scans landed in my inbox last night and I could just melt over this one!

Two special things to share about why I love this image:

(1) I love that it was photographed in their home, in the rocking chair of the brand new nursery they thoughtfully designed for their baby girl. Years, and even decades from now this mama can look at very this photograph and remember all of the moments spent snuggled in this very corner as their baby girl grew.

(2) She decided to have me come when their baby girl was a few months old, instead of of a couple weeks. Now I adore a brand new baby and the photographs that are taken in the very beginning, but don’t feel locked into that, or feel like you missed photographs as meaningful as this one just because you weren’t quite ready. I love when my clients work together with me so we can figure out the best fitting session time for their new family- and this one was so perfect!
