Although I often write blog posts with the Creative Small Business Owner and Photographer in mind, I know that there are also often expecting mothers browsing around my blog as well, so this post is just for you! I admit, often times I wish I had much more of my own personal experience to share about being a mother (not yet!) to share with you here- but then the reality sets in that after being a full time live in nanny for close to 5 years, and constantly working with mothers in my business for maternity and newborn sessions- I am actually pretty ahead of the game for the “not a mother yet” category!
I am constantly paying attention to what mothers around me are giving good reviews for the latest must have products and motherhood resources- both for my future self- and also to share with my other clients! Something that definitely has made that list recently is an online baby registry called The Baby List!
In years past, when a friend or relative would share their registry before their baby shower, I would see that they registered for one or two local department stores. But The Baby List lets you register for items FROM ANY STORE, even smaller online shops like what you can find on Etsy, easily all in one place! You can even opt to register for what they call “help and favors”, which include things like home-cooked meals, dog walking, and house cleaning! It also lets you browse through their most popular items to get you started. The Baby List is free to use, and will provide you with a custom link to share with friends and family, or even on social media. It’s also easy to view on mobile devices! It’s basically genius. Now all those adorable hand knit outfits you bookmarked online from that local boutique you loved so much can be added right to the list. Perfect, right?
