I have known Jocelyn & Harrison for a few years now, having connected through our church in Connecticut when I lived there, and Jocelyn is also an incredibly talented makeup artist who works for Simply Gorgeous by Erin. In the past I have photographed head shots for her healthy lifestyle blog, Miss Fit Foodie, but the majority of our working together was prior to my portrait sessions when she would be pampering the moms that I work with, and we would talk about her “someday” maternity and newborn portraits, and how she was already dreaming about them! So when she told me she was expecting her first baby, it was SO special, and we got to planning right away. We photographed both her maternity portraits and her newborn portraits in her beautiful Stratford Connecticut home. There was so much joy seeing these two as first time parents, and so much love for this little guy. Here are a few of my favorites from their newborn session, photographed on both digital and medium format black and white film.
