When I returned home last night, I realized that I had been in Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Maine all in one day! I would not be exaggerating to say that I slept really, really well last night! After a very busy stretch of traveling for portrait shoots, I decided that today should be my “Saturday”, so I can recharge and do 100% better in the office tomorrow, than I could do today.
My kids are in town today, (for those of you who may be new to following me, I was a full time live in nanny for almost 5 years before moving to Maine and going full time with my photography business a year ago), so I am thrilled to get to spend the day with them and show them around my new home town.
I wanted to just pop on here real quick today and share one of my favorite family portraits that was photographed this weekend. I had the honor of meeting this photographer for a mentoring session at her Connecticut home, and then photographing her beautiful family afterwards. I don’t often have much older siblings in my sessions, as I book mostly maternity and newborn sessions, so this was a treat! And I just LOVE this portrait and how it shows this mama with her oldest baby, and how incredible that is. I picture this framed even in someday homes for generations to come, and that is such a core reason of why I do what I do.
I’m off to enjoy downtown Portland, more of this past weekend’s portrait sessions to come!
