I admit that I JUMPED out of bed to get this blog post up for you all today! I am getting ready to drive to Connecticut to visit “my” kids, after over a month of separation- but I didn’t want to head out without getting these up for you to see!

Earlier this year, photographer and incredibly talented calligrapher Jordanne Van Wert contacted me for a newborn portrait session. She was due about one month before the Pursuit 31 Conference, which we were both attending, and so we made it happen while we were both in Georgia! We met for the first part of her session in Ardmore Park in Atlanta, and the second on the sun warmed fields of Berry College, near the Winshape Retreat Center.

Not only was it such an honor to photograph these talented photographers, but my heart always explodes when I get to capture the raw emotion that new parenthood brings. It’s simple, yet deep- and takes my breath away every single time.
