One of the things that I was looking forward to most when moving to the Southern Maine area was the coastal location spots for my portrait sessions. The Portland Head Light in Cape Elizabeth, in Fort Williams Park, is one of my favorite places- and I apparently join the high volume of tourists in my enthusiasm, because it is always filled with families exploring the beautiful rocky coast. Last night I met my friend and fellow photographer Spring, along with her husband for a small maternity session at sunset. I will be photographing their newborn session in just a few short weeks, and cannot wait to meet their little one!
We had originally planned on meeting at Two Lights State Park, also in Cape Elizabeth, however the park was not going to be open until sunset which is my favorite time to photograph, so we headed back to Fort Williams. I am so glad we did because the light was perfect and the tide was just low enough to get down close to the crashing waves. Spring met Professional Hair & Makeup Artist Stacia Tetrault before our session, and I love the simple elegance of her hair style with the cozy texture of her sweater. Here is a favorite portrait from their maternity collection, and I so look forward to sharing more!
